Free medical examination for veterans

Starting September 8, all veterans in the province who participated in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War can receive free medical examinations. This programme was jointly launched by the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University, the Yunnan Provincial “Caring for Veterans” Project Of? ce and Yunnan Wuliangshan Biological Development Co. Ltd, as part of the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggres-sion and the World Anti-Fascist War.

At present, more than 1,000 veterans living in Yunnan qualify for the programme. The hospital will set up health archives for them so as to give health advice on a regular basis.
