2 electrocuted in Meherpur

Two persons were electrocuted in separate incidents in Gangni upazila of the district yesterday.
The victims were Rafiqul Islam, 35, a resident of Chorgoal and Saharul Islam, 28, of Bout village.
Police said farmer Rafiqul injured critically as he came in contact with an electric wire while he was connecting television line. He was taken to local hospital where attending doctors declared him dead.
Besides, Singapur expatriate Saharul died on the spot as he came in contact with a live electric wire while he was repairing an electric line of his house.
