A Dhaka Court sent four alleged child traffickers to jail after rejecting their bail prayers.After hearing, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Amit Kumar Dey yesterday passed the order.
Earlier, police produced the suspected child traffickers Arifur Rahman, Hasibul Islam Sobuj, Jakia Sultana and Firoz Alam Shovo before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court.
All the arrested claimed they were workers of Adommo Foundation, a charity organisation that works with street children.
Earlier, four human trafficking suspects were placed on 2-day remand in connection with lifting 10 children in the capital.
Nine children were sent to the safe custody of Gazipur Child Development Centre while another child Mobarak was handed over to his father.
Police detained the four alleged child lifters, and rescued 10 children from a house in capital’s Rampura area on Saturday.
The rescued children were from Bhola, Noakhali, Pirozpur, Narayanganj, Mymensingh and Moulvibazar districts.
