Bangladesh national women football team will begin their SAFF Under-15 championship campaign today with taking on Pakistan at Changlimithan Stadium, Bhutan at 7pm (BST).
The defending champions Bangladesh in a bid to retain the title had a warm up session yesterday morning and a gym work at evening before today’s match.
Bangladesh team, who went Bhutan on August 6, might be have trouble to adjust with the high altitude and cool weather condition of Thimpu but in the last three days they could almost familiar with the local atmosphere.
According to message from Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF), the players morally are very strong and are ready to take Pakistan in the opening match today.
Head coach of the team Golam Rabbani Choton and the strategic director Paul Smally are working to motivate the players and keep up them morally strong.
In the first edition Bangladesh was unbeaten champions when four teams, India, Bhutan Nepal and host Bangladesh played in single league basis with top two teams moved into the final. This time six teams are taking part splitting into two groups when Sri Lanka and Pakistan are participating the second edition.
Bangladesh are in the Group B with Pakistan and Nepal.
Bangladesh defeated India twice while the hosts won their both the league phase match and the final against power house in the region.
