EWU workshop on academic writing
East West University Center for Research and Training (EWUCRT) organised a two-day long workshop for public and private universities, under HEQEP sub-project titled Academic Writing, Publication and Research Methods in collaboration with Center for Development through Open Learning, Publishing and Communication (CEDOLPC) on September 11 and 12 in EWU Campus, Aftabnagar, Dhaka, says a press release.
The Inaugural and Closing ceremonies of the workshop were held at East West University (EWU) premises.
Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairperson, Board of Trustees, EWU and Founder Vice-Chancellor, EWU attended the workshop as the chief guest of the inaugural ceremony. Dr. Rafiqul Huda Chaudhury, Chairperson, EWUCRT and Member, Board of Trustees, EWU chaired the programme. Professor Ahmed Shafee, Vice Chancellor of EWU attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest. He also distributed certificates among the participants at the ceremony. Professor Dr. Manzurul Islam, Director, CEDOLPC, and Professor Dr. Muhammed Shahriar Haque, Executive Director of EWUCRT were at the Closing Ceremony.
Speakers urged the participants to carry out research and publication. A total of 34 faculty members from public and private universities participated in the workshop and resource persons were drawn from various public and private universities. EWUCRT is moving from intra-university research and publication to inter-university research, workshop and training through collaboration in order to disseminate knowledge.
