Community clinic inaugurated

A newly built community clinic at Kotevajni, a recently abolished enclave in Panchagarh, was inaugurated yesterday.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammed Nasim MP formally inaugurated the clinic as the chief guest.
The Minister also inaugurated Filariasis Identification and Worm Control programmes.
The community clinic was constructed under the direct observation of Debiganj Upazila Parishad at a cost of Taka 5 lakh.  
Later, the minister spoke at a discussion meeting at Kotevajni enclave ground organised by the upazila administration.
The minister said, “I have come here as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina directed me to oversee the situation here physically. You will be happy to know that the government has already allocation Taka 170 corer for the development of the former enclave citizens.”
They former enclave citizens will get electricity, safe drinking water facility and health services. There will be schools, colleges, better road communication, he said.
He also said the government is working to provide health services at the doorstep of the people.
Among others, local MP Nurul Islam Sujon, Health and Family Welfare Secretary Monjurul Islam and PM’s Health Adviser Dr Modacher Ali were present at the programme.
