One to walk gallows for killing boy

A Sylhet court here on Wednesday convicted a man and sentenced him to death and two others to life term imprisonment for killing a boy four years ago.
The condemned convict was identified as Moyej Uddin, 40, son of late Monojjil Ali, a resident of Kosba village in Beanibazar upazila.
The court also fined the two lifers Shuhel Ahmed and Jalal Uddin Tk 50,000 each, in default to suffer one year more rigorous imprisonment.
According to the prosecution, Moiz Uddin had a heated talk with his neighbour Quamrul over making an earthen oven in his house on August 21, 2011.
At one stage, Moiz Uddin along with Sohel and Jalal stabbed Quamrul indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot. Abul Kalam, father of Quamrul, filed a case in this connection. Nazmul Huda, former sub-inspector of Bianibazar Police Station submitted a chargesheet against four people on December 27, 2011.
