The sales of deep fridges and large deep refrigerators have seen a boom ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, one of the largest religious festivals of Muslims, to be celebrated in the country on September 25, reports UNB.
Talking to traders of Rajshahi, Khulna and Chittagong, it was learnt that the country’s electronics giant ‘Walton’ has grabbed a lion portion of the Eid sales of fridge through releasing new models of fridges and refrigerators with unique designs and colours.
Usually, the sales of fridges go up ahead of Eid-ul-Azha compared to the other months of the year.
But, this year, the demand for both deep fridge and large deep based refrigerators has gone up remarkably among the customers due to several reasons, including the increase of the people’s income, stable political environment and sweltering summer heat, they said.
The traders said the customers of all classes are preferring Walton brand’s deep fridges and refrigerators due to its some uniqueness like cheap rates, variation in designs and colours, eight years guarantee for compressors, maximum three years installment facility and ISO standard service network across the country.
The Walton authorities say they are manufacturing fridges with the most sophisticated nano-particle technology, which resulted in omitting the emission of hazardous CFC or HCFC gas. In addition, energy efficient LED bulb and 100 per cent copper condenser are used in the Walton brand’s deep fridge and refrigerators.
Abu Rafa Md Naim, area manager of Walton for South East Zone of Chittagong, said the sales of both deep fridges and refrigerators are increased substantially. Buying a large deep based normal fridge of Walton, customers can easily meet their demands for deep and normal chambers, he added.
Faruque Hossain, area manager of Walton for Khulna region, said Eid-ul-Azha is peak season of refrigerator and fridge sales.
To post a record sale of refrigerators in the peak season, he said, Walton has undertaken massive preparations.
They have increased the supply of fridges and refrigerator according to the demand hike, he said, adding that following this year’s Qurbani festival, Walton has released a new model (192 litre) of fridge, which greatly attracted the customers.
