Sherif urges all to work unitedly for reducing poverty

PABNA: Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sherif on Saturday urged all to work unitedly for reducing poverty and materializing the dream of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, reports BSS.

“All have to work unitedly to materialize the dream of Sheikh Hasina of establishing poverty free nation,” he said this at an allowance distribution programme for under privileged people at Atgharia upazila parishad under Pabna district.

Sherif distributed old-age allowance, deserted wife’s allowance, deprived disabled allowance and allowance for bede and harijan under social safety net programme of 2017-18.

Under the programme, Sherif distributed power tillers among six farmers, stipend among 55 students and educational kits among 50 students.

Later, he inaugurated a three-day tree fair at Debottor Kobi Bande Ali Miah High School premises.
