Three get life for killing Netrakona youth

Netrakona: A court here yesterday sentenced three persons to life term imprisonment in connection with a murder of a young man in Ramchandrapur village of Kendua upazila in the district in 2011, reports UNB.

Netrakona District and Session Judges Court Judge KM Rasheduzzaman Raja passed the order and also fined each of the convicts Tk 50,000 or to serve one month jail in default.

The convicts are Dulal Miah, 35, Babul Miah, 45, sons of Mizbah Uddin and Rasel Miah, 22, son of Babul Miah.

The court also acquitted five other accused from the charges as they were found not guilty.

According to the case statement, on September 11, 2011 the convicts attacked Ripon Mia, 25, and his brother-in-law Suad Miah at Kendua bazaar area and hacked them indiscriminately in sequel to previous

enmity.

Critically injured Ripon, later, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital after few days.Brother of the deceased filed a case with Kendua Police Station in this regard.
