Convocation of Primeasia University held
The 3rd Convocation of Primeasia University was held on Monday at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), says a press release. Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid graced the convocation ceremony as the chief guest and conferred degrees among 5,856 of 12 disciplines. Prof Abdul Mannan, chairman of University Grants Commission of was present in the ceremony as the special guest while High Commissioner of Canada Benoît Pre՛fontaine was the convocation speaker. MA Khaleque, Founder and Chairman, Md Nazrul Islam, Vice Chairman and other members, Board of Trustees of Primeasia University were present in the programme.
Prof Dr Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice-chancellor of the university delivered welcome address. Abul Kashem Molla, Registrar of the University gave the vote of thanks.
Among the graduating students, 15 students received Gold Medals while 6 received the Chancellor’s Gold Medals, 4 received Chairman’s Gold Medals and 5 received Vice-chancellor Gold Medals
Seminar on ‘Justice for All Programme’ held at AIUB
Department of Law, AIUB and USAID (Justice for All Programme) organised a strategic dialogue on the campus of American International University, Bangladesh (AIUB) at Kuril in the capital recently, says a press release.
Ms. Joan Bishop, Court Administration Expert, New Hampshire, USA shared her experience on law students’ engagement while focusing on US Legal System. Kazi Yasin Habib, assistant director, National Legal Aid Services Organisation delivered a speech on legal aid services by the government.
Prof Dr Taslima Monssor, adviser, Department of Law, AIUB gave welcome speech. Prof Dr Tazul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences was also spoke.
Academia lecture series held DIU
The 13th phase of Daffodil International University Industry Academia Lecture Series on Entrepreneurship Development organised by Career Development Centre (CDC) was held on Monday at 71 Milonayoton of the university, says a press release.
Mostafa Kamal, chairman & managing director of Meghna Group of Industries delivered lecture on “Entrepreneurship Development with Hard Work, Patience and Motivation”. Dr Md Sabur Khan, chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University delivered addressed the programme. The program was also addressed by Ms. Cho Min-Jeong, second secretary, embassy of the Republic of Korea, Ms. Tahmina Mostafa, director, Meghna Group, Professor Dr Yousuf M Islam, Vice-Chancellor, DIU, Md Abu Taher Khan, Director; Career Development Centre (CDC).
NSU, City Bank Limited sign agreement
North South University (NSU) and City Bank Limited signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement on the university campus recently, says a press release.
Prof Atiqul Islam, vice-chancellor of NSU, and Sohail RK Hussain, managing director and chief executive officer of the City Bank Limited signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
MA Hashem, chairman, BOT, Benajir Ahmed and Mohammed Shahjahan, members of the BOT, NSU, Prof Gias U Ahsan, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Designate), Prof Gaur Gobinda Goswami, treasurer, NSU, Mashroor Arefin, additional managing director, HasanUddin Ahmed, head of Employee Banking of City Bank and senior officials of both the organizations were present at this time.
