Two luxury vehicles seized

Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) officials yesterday seized two luxury vehicles in Dhaka and Chattogram cities on charges of tax evasion, reports UNB. Sources at the CIID said based on secret information, a team of CIID conducted a drive at a house in city's Uttara and seized the TOYOTA HARRIER (LEXUS RX) jeep worth Tk 1 crore. Director General (DG) of CIID Dr Shahidul Islam said though the owner of the vehicle is now in Chittagong, he kept the car in Uttara as he came to know that the car is now under surveillance of the CIID.
