Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) yesterday cancelled at least 139 registrations of the candidates who were going to sit for the 39th Bangladesh Civil Service (special) examinations on August 3.
BPSC said it has taken the decision following the letter of Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) dated on 20 May 2018 which said the BSc in Health/Medical Technology (Dental) degree is not equivalent to Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree.
As per the decision, the candidates having the BSc in Health/Medical Technology (Dental) degrees are not qualified for post of assistant dental surgeon, BPSC press release said.
BPSC said these candidates are not allowed to take part in the 39th BCS examinations on Aug 3 as their registrations have been cancelled following the decision of the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC). These candidates have been requested not to enter the examination halls.
