Local electronic manufacturer Walton has recently started exporting ‘Made in Bangladesh’ labeled home appliances to East African country Uganda, the company said in a press statement yesterday.
Initially, Walton exported blender and spare parts to the East African country and then it will export other sorts of home appliances like rice cooker, gas stove and so on very soon.
The exported home appliances were being produced in Walton Micro-Tech Corpo-ration Limited at Chandra in Gazipur in
accordance with the international standard.
A container loaded with Walton made home appliances shipped out for Uganda from Chattagram Port yesterday, a company said in a press statement.
The Tamales, headquartered in Uganda’s capital Kampala, is the sole distributor of Walton home appliances.
Walton made fridges, air-conditioners, laptops and other sorts of electronics and electrical appliances are also being exported to Nigeria and Sudan and now, Uganda has been added to the list of Walton products importing countries among the African countries.
