Two children drown in Habiganj

HABIGANJ: Two children drowned in a pond at Kalikapur village under Madhabpur upazila of the district yesterday noon, reports BSS.

The victims were identified as Shafiq Miah, 5, son of Rafiq Miah and Eman Uddin, 6, son of Firoj, residents of the same area.

Officer-in-Charge of Madhabpur police station Chandan Kumar said the children fell into the pond and drowned while they were playing on the side of it.

The locals recovered the bodies of the children from the pond.
