Rifles, bullets used in liberation war found

Police recovered nine rifles and 51 bullets which were used during the War of Independence in 1971 from under soil at Randhunimura in Haziganj municipality yesterday afternoon, reports UNB. The arms and ammunition were found when oneLitonMia of the area dug a piece of land to build a building there, said Jabedul Islam, officer-in-charge of Haziganj Police Station. Being informed by the landowner, a police team led by Sub-inspector Abdul Mannan went to the spot and recovered the antics, he added.
