CUMILLA: Two workers of a factory were killed and two others severely injured as a covered van hit a roadside shop at Nuritala in Chandina upazila yesterday, reports UNB. The identities of the deceased could not be known yet. Iliatganj Highway Police Outpost's SI Manirul Islam said some workers of Ayesha Jute Mills of the area took shelter inside a roadside shop as rain started while they were going to their workplace. The accident took place when the covered van hit the shop after its driver lost control over the steering around 12 pm, leaving the duo dead on the spot and the other two others severely injured. Later, locals took the injured to Chandina Health Complex. Police seized the covered van from the spot.
