Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) has awarded six Bangladeshi government officials from BIRRI, NBR, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Fisheries & Livestock and Ministry of Women and Children Affairs to earn Master’s degrees in Korea this year, says a press release. The fully funded scholarships are offered as a part of KOICA’s Fellowship Programme was introduced to enhance human resource capacity of the country’s public institutions.
Joe Hyun-Gue, Country Director of KOICA Bangladesh Office hosted the awardees and formally handed over the scholarships to all six esteemed Bangladeshi public officials at the pre-departure orientation ceremony held on Thursday.
In addition to extending his heartiest congratulations, he further encouraged the officials to act as a bridge between Korea and Bangladesh to strengthen its partnership.
The candidates will pursue their 2 year long degrees in Korea’s renowned universities in disciplines namely, agricultural economics, fisheries science, community development, gender equality leadership and finance and tax policy.
