Two killed in Rangamati

At least two people were killed in a gunfight between the activists of United People's Democratic Front (UPDF) and Parbatya Chattagram Jana Sanghati Samiti (PCJSS) at Betagichhara in Bagaichhari upazila yesterday, reports UNB. The deceased were identified as David Chakma, a JSS activist, and Bon Kusum Chakma, 40, a local. Witnesses said the two groups of UPDF and PCJSS came face to face in the afternoon.

They opened fire on each other, leaving the duo dead on the spot. However, officer-in-charge of Bagaichhari Police Station Md Amir Hossain said they heard about the death of a person in the gunfight.
