Yunnan granted 50 million yuan in "Thousand Talents Plan" subsidies

Recently, Yunnan province granted special subsidies to the first batch of 100 people to recieve Thousand Talents Plan (TTP) funding. Each of the eligible young talents received a one-time working and living allowance of 500,000 yuan. A total of 50 million yuan in total has been granted so far.

This year, the province launched its young talent project, one of seven special projects under the TTP. The goal is to improve Yunnan’s competitiveness through the continued development of human resources. In the next five years, focusing on its economic and social development needs, the province will introduce 1,000 high-level personnel and cultivate a number of high-calibre talent teams and clusters that are capable of playing a leading and demonstrative role in innovation and business start-ups.
