Aiming to connect the general people with the performance art, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) is organising a three-day performance art show titled ‘Art in the City’ in the capital. Starting today, the three-day event will continue till July 28.
During the three-day event, a number of 15 artistes and curator Mahbubur Rahman will present performance art at the various points of Dhaka city. Today, on the first day of the event, artistes will perform at BSA, TSC, Dhaka Gate and National Museum.
On the second day, tomorrow, they will perform at Lalkuthi, Shyam Bazar, Beauty Boarding and Sadarghat.
On the concluding day (July 28), artistes will present eight performances at Kamalapur Railway Station, two performances in Gulshan and one performance in Sangsad Bhaban.
These 16 artistes will also present performance art in the upcoming 18th Asian Art Biennale Bangladesh, which will be held at BSA in September this year.
