The three-match one-day series between Bangladesh A and Sri Lanka A ended in a draw after the series deciding final match was washed out due to heavy rain.
The home side won the first match by two runs in a thrilling encounter but Sri Lanka bounced back in style to level the series with 67-run win in the second match.
The tour is above all a success for the Sri Lanka A, considering they have already won the three-match four-day series by 1-0.
In the final match, the second string Lankan side, which comprised with some former national players, scored 240 for nine at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. As rain intervened in the match, the revised target was set 243 in 45 overs for Bangladesh A. However as Bangladesh A were 12 for no loss in 3.4 overs, the rain arrived again to force the abrupt end of the match.
Sri Lankan opener Sadeera Samarawickrema was the highest scorer for the side with 75 runs while Ashan Priyanjan made 53. Skipper Thisara Perera continued his rich vein of form with run-a-ball-44.
Left-arm spinner Sunzamul Islam was the most successful bowler for Bangladesh with four for 24 runs in his seven overs. He was instrumental in triggering Sri Lanka’s middle order collapse that raised the hope that they could bowl Sri Lanka out below 200.
However Thisara Perera didn’t let the good work of Samarawickrema and Priyajan go as he took the onus to propel the side past 200.
Pacer Khaled Mahmud played a perfect foil to Sunzamul with two for 42.
