Two minor girls drown

Kushtia: Two minor girls drowned in a beel at Darpara village in Daulatpur upazila yesterday, reports UNB. The deceased were identified as Mim, 10,  and her cousin Ritu, 9. Mim and Ritu were students of class IV and III respectively of a government primary school. Quoting locals, OC of Daulatpur police Aminul Islam said Mim and Ritu drowned while trying to swim with the help of a bottle in Goir beel near their house around 12pm.
