Two killed in road crash

Two persons were killed and three others injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Tangail highway at Kadimdholla in Mirzapur Upazila yesterday morning.  The deceased were identified as truck driver Jomser Uddin, 28, of  Brahmambaria district and Joynal Abedin, 40, a cattle trader.  Humayan Kabir, officer-in-charge of Gorai highway police, said a Dhaka-bound cattle-laden truck collided with another salt-laden truck, leaving the driver of the cattle-laden truck and another dead on the spot and three others injured. The injured have been admitted to Mirzapur Kumuddini Medical College Hospital.
