The 42-year-old McKenzie is expected to join the Bangladesh Team in Guyana on 24 July, just a day before the second one day of the three-match ODI series against the hosts West Indies.
As per the contract, McKenzie will work with the Bangladesh team up to the end of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in England and Wales.
This right-handed former batsman played 58 Tests for South Africa along with 64 ODIs and two Twenty20s.
