DB arrests four with fake notes

Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested four persons with counterfeit note worth of Tk 32 lakh on Thursday night, reports BSS.

The arrestees are identified as Jasim Morol, 30, Abdul Jalil, 28, Sagar alias Ripon Das, 30, and Jalal Uddin, 28.

Being tipped off, a team of DB police raided Kalyanpur Bus Stand area around 10:30pm. During the operation, DB men arrested the accused red handed from the area, a DMP release said. During primary interrogation, the arrestees confessed that they had been printing and marketing the fake notes for last five to six years. A case has been filed with Mirpur Model Police Station in this regard.
