Two arrested with hemp

GAZIPUR: Police in a drive arrested two persons along with 50 kilograms of hemp from Haidarabad area of the city on Sunday night. The arrestees were Mohammed Siraz Khan, 40 and a covered van driver Ashraful Islam, 32. Mahfuzur Rahman, inspector (Investigation) of Joydebpur police station, said on information, police raided a covered van in front of Ramani Kumar High School in the area of Gazipur city on Sunday midnight.  Police recovered the 50kgs of hemp from five sacks kept inside the covered van and arrested Siraz and Ashraful. Police also seized the covered van.
