22 Shibir men held in Ctg

CHITTAGONG: Police in a drive arrested 22 leaders and activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir, a student wing of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, from a coaching centre in Patiya upazila of the district yesterday, reports BSS. Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a raid at the Shibir-run ‘Probaha Coaching Centre’ and arrested the Shibir leaders and activists around 4pm, said Mohammad Naimul Hasan, Additional Superintendent of Police (Special Branch) of Chittagong district. Police also seized leaflets and publications of Shibir during the drive, he added.
