Road Transport and Bridge Minister Obaidul Quader ordered the authorities concerned to work hard to keep the highway free of traffic during the Eid-ul-Azha as like as Eid-ul-Fitr.
He said that 10 days before the upcoming Eid, the BRT project should be stopped. Besides, policemen will be deployed on the important sites of highways before 10 days and after 10 days of Eid al-Azha.
On the otherhand, no cattle market will be allowed beside the highways. He said this at a meeting scheduled for the purpose of resolving the traffic congestion during Eid-ul-Azha held at Roads and Highways Department of Tongi sub-divisional office in Gazipur yesterday.
Obaidul Quader said, failing in the movement, BNP now become crazy for getting any issue. They make comment without verifying the truthness while anyone says anything.
BNP commented that the gold were looted from the Bangladesh Bank’s vault. But, the Bangladesh Bank said that there was no incident of disappearance of gold from the vault in a press briefing. What has happened is “Clerical error”.
