Four to die for murder in N’ganj

Narayanganj: A court here yetserday sentenced four people to death and four others to seven years imprisonment each for killing a man at Fatullah in 2014, reports UNB.
Narayanganj District and Sessions Judge Court Judge Md Anisur Rahman handed down the verdict.
The court also fined the convicts- Iqbal Hossain, Sohag, Sadek and Babu Kazi- Tk 50,000 each. All of them were tried in absentia.
Public Prosecutor (PP) SM Wazed Ali Khokon said the convicts killed Abdul Halim, 34, son of Absar Uddin of Narsingpur area in Fatullah, to embezzle Tk 5 lakh.
Later, they cut Halim's body into five pieces and dumped it at BSCIC industrial area of Fatullah on August 17 in 2014.
One of the convicts confessed to their crimes before a court.
