38 arrested in Dinajpur

DINAJPUR: Law enforcers, in special drives arrested 38 persons including 11 drug traders, an activist of BNP and two activists of Jamaat-E-Islami from different areas of the district in last 12-hour ending at 8am yesterday morning, reports BSS.
Law enforcers also seized 150 bottles of Phensidyl and 380 pieces of Yaba tablets during the drives.
Police said they were picked up from different areas of the district on different charges. During the drives, Dinajpur Sadar police arrested nine persons including two drug traders with 50 bottles of Phensidyl, Biral Thana police arrested two persons, Birampur Thana police arrested two persons including an activist of BNP, Kaharole Thana police arrested two persons, Chirirbandar Thana police arrested five persons including two activists of Jamaat-E-Islami, Bochaganj Thana police arrested one person, Nawabganj Thana police arrested three persons, Phulbari Thana police arrested three drug traders with 218 pieces of Yaba tablets, Parbatipur Thana police arrested two persons, Ghoraghat Thana police arrested two drug traders, Hakimpur Thana police arrested a drug trader with 100 bottles of Phensidyl and Khansama Thana police arrested three persons.
