Teams for NCL announced

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the final squads of the participating teams for the upcoming edition of the National Cricket League (NCL) on Sunday. The current version of the league is scheduled to roll onto the grounds on September 18. It is learnt that Walton will become the title sponsor of the NCL.
This year the league will be held on newly-introduced Tier system. As per the system, participating teams have been divided into two tiers based on their position in the previous edition of the NCL. According to the fixture, Rangpur Division will face-off Dhaka Metro at Shaheed Chandu Stadium (SCS) in Bogra and Khulna Division will lock horns with Dhaka Division at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium (SANS) in Khulna in the Tier-1.
On the other hand, Rajshahi Division will take on Barisal Division at Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium (SKS) in Rajshahi and Chittagong will compete against Sylhet Division at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium (KSOAS) in Fatullah in Tier-2. The matches in each tier will be played in a double league format. The top finisher in Tier-2 will be promoted to Tier-1 for the next season. The team finishing bottom in Tier-1 will be relegated to Tier-2.
As per the previous position in the NCL 16th edition, Rangpur Division, Dhaka Metro, Khulna Division and Dhaka Division have been drawn in the Tier-1, while Rajshahi Division, Barisal Division, Chittagong Division and Sylhet Division have been clubbed in the Tier-2. The name of captains of each team will be announced by the authorities from respective divisional team.
