Forest official hurt in attack

Unidentified criminals attacked and seriously injured a forest official in Santoshpur in Phulbaria upazila of Mymen-singh on Sunday night.
The victim was Solaiman Miah, 45, a beat officer of Santoshpur forest. Rifat Khan Rajib, officer-in-charge of Phulbaria police station, said when the forest official reached his office compound riding a motorbike at around 11.30 pm, criminals numbering 7/8 attacked him with machetes, leaving him seriously injured.
He was admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. But police have not yet found clues behind the attack.
