2 held for killing cop

Jhenidah sadar police arrested a woman and her son from their house in Kalikapur village under Jhenidah municipality on Sunday night in cop Obaidul Islam killing case.
They were identified as Shikha Khatun, and Linkon.
Officer-in-charge of Jhenidah police station Hasan Hafizur Rahman said they arrested the two for their alleged involvement in the murder of retired police constable. The reason behind the murder is yet to be known.
Obaidul was the inhabitant of Bakri village under Sadar upazila of Jhenidah and his last posting was Chuadanga.
Sources said Obaidul Rahman was strangled to death on September 13, and his body was recovered from beside the wall of the house.
