Iranian FM arrives tomorrow

Iranian Foreign Minister Dr Mohammad Javad Zarif will arrive in the capital tomorrow on a short trip to brief the Bangladeshi leadership about the nuclear deal signed between Iran and five superpowers United States, Russia, China, United Kingdom and France and Germany.
The deal between Iran and the world powers will see the international sanctions lifted on Tehran over the nuclear issues.
As part of the visits to few important countries in the region, the Iranian Foreign Minister is coming to Bangladesh to apprise the leadership of the deal and its impact on the Dhaka-Tehran relations especially trade, a senior Foreign Ministry official told The Independent yesterday.
Dr Zarif will come to Bangladesh from the Chinese capital of Beijing in a special aircraft at about 10pm, he said, adding that earlier he visited India.
Given the prospect of a new scenario after the withdrawal of the sanctions, he is visiting only those countries with which Iran thinks of engaging positively with particular emphasis on trade, said the official.
