Student stabbed to death in Khulna

KHULNA:  A polytechnic college student was stabbed to death by unknown miscreants at Baghmara area in the capital on Wednesday night, reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as Mehedi Hasan, 22, son of Mamun Hawladar of Dolkhola of the city. He was a first year student of Boyra Polytechnic College in the city.

Deputy Additional Commissioner (Media) Sonali Sen of Khulna Metropolitan Police, said a group of unidentified miscreants swooped on Mehedi Hasan and stabbed him indiscriminately with knife, leaving him critically injured.

Later, locals took him to Khulna Medical College Hospital where the duty doctor declared him dead. But the reason behind the knife attack could not be known immediately, the commissioner added.
