Missing architect found in Khulna
Four days into going missing from Dhaka, Architect BMA Mahfuz Nabin was found in Khulna yesterday. Nabin, 38, was left blindfolded in Khulnas Khalishpur area around 3am today and he was able to identify the location after taking his blindfold off, said his wife Jannatul Esha.
Esha, however, could not give any information on how Nabin was taken to Khulna and where he had been kept for the last four days. She said Nabin has marks of injuries on his body and was now at his sisters residence. Nabin, who is an architect working with real estate developer Sheltech, went missing after he left his Bhashantek residence in the capital for his office on Sunday morning. A general diary was filed by Nabins family with Bhashantek Police on Monday.
Sub-inspector Ruhul Amin of Bhasantek Police Station told media yesterday that Nabins family informed him that the missing architect has been found in Khulna and that he was not in good health.
At a favourable time, Nabin will be interrogated about his going missing, he said. Esha said she had received an SMS from Nabins phone on Sunday saying his mobile battery needed to be recharged, and that he would do that once he reached office at noon. Later, Esha came to know that Nabin did not go to office that day.
Police earlier said they traced his last whereabouts by mobile tracking in Darussalam area of the capital at 1:26pm on Sunday.
