Woman killed by husband

Benapole: A housewife was strangulated to death allegedly by her husband in Bostapotti area of the district town early yesterday, reports UNB. The deceased was identified as Sanjida, 22, wife of Babu, a resident of the area. Family members said Sanjida, daughter of Korban Ali, a resident of Jhumjhumpur area, got married with Babu nine months ago. Babu got into illicit relationship with a woman and passed much of his time daily talking with her over the phone to annoyance of his wife. The victim’s family alleged that Babu strangled Sanjida as she protested her husband’s affair. Babu took Sanjida’s body to Jessore 25-bed Hospital around 4am and told the doctors there that Sanjida committed suicide.
