CDA, CCC pledge to make Ctg water logging free

Chittagong Development Authority (CDA) and Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) have pledged to work together to implement Drainage Master Plan to make the potcity free from water-logging. The CDA and CCC chiefs came up with the decision in a view exchanging meeting held at KB Abdus Sattar Hall of CCC yesterday. AJM Nasir Uddin, mayor of CCC, said “It is impossible to implement master plan by us. So CDA and we will work jointly work to implement the Drainage Master Plan”. He said the master plan has been designed 20 years ago. In course of time, the city has been changed, so the master plan will be updated keeping parallel with the current city. Committee will form in all wards in this regard. In the meeting, Abdus Salam, chairman of CDA, said it is high time to work together to change the Chittagong city.
