Youth beaten dead over �theft�

Benapole: A young man was beaten to death over suspected robbery at Harikhali village in Sharsa upazila yesteday morning, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Saiful Islam, 28, son of Kawser Ali, a resident of the village.
Enamul Haque, officer-in-charge of Sharsa police station, said residents of a house at the village caught Saiful while he was walking past the house at night.
They beat him indiscriminately accusing him of stealing a mobile phone set. Later, the critically injured man was rushed to Sharsa Upazila Health Complex, where he died at around 8:30 am.
A case was filed in this connection.
