CNG stations will remain open for 24 hours seven days ahead of and after the Eid-ul-Azha holidays, road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader said yesterday.
"The CNG filling stations would remain opened round-the-clock before and after three days including the Eid day," he told journalists at BIAM in the city.
Besides, Bangladesh Railway (BR) and Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) will start selling advance tickets from September 15 and 16, respectively, for home-bound passengers on the occasion.
“Don’t try to ply unfit vehicles during the Eid holidays. The government is determined to make the journey smooth for home-bound passengers on Eid-ul-Azha,” Quader warned launch owners while speaking to reporters after attending a seminar at the city’s BIAM Auditorium.
