United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Bangladesh Saed Mohamed Al Mheiri yesterday called on Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury at the latter’s office in the capital, reports BSS. During the meeting, they discussed issues related to bilateral interests, including parliamentary activities, trade and manpower export.
“Relations between our two countries are fantastic and it is possible to further strengthen the relations by expanding bilateral trade and making the visa process easier for Bangladeshis,” the speakers said, urging the Gulf state envoy to take more manpower from Bangladesh.
Dr Chaudhury also called upon the UAE to be on Bangladesh’s side and continuing its support in peaceful and sustainable repatriation of Rohingyas.
