Jayed, Shanto, Apu, Rony get maiden call for ODI series

Batsman Nazmul Hossain Shanto and off-spinner Nazmul Islam Apu along  with fast-bowlers Abu Jayed  Rahi and Abu Haider Rony got their maiden one-day calls to the 16-member squad what Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced for the upcoming three-match ODI series against the hosts West Indies yesterday.

Even though the left-handed batsman, Shanto, represented Bangladesh in a match with white wears against New Zealand in January 2017, he did not get any opportunity to get down for the Tigers in the other two formats of games.

Apu, Rony and Rahi though capped a string of T20 internationals for the Tigers did not get chance to bowl in other formats.

All-rounder Mosaddek Hossain Saikat along with wicketkeeper-batsman Anamul Haque Bijoy, on the other hand, recalled for the one-day series after a long hiatus.
