World Bank (WB) Executive Director Aparna Subramani yesterday said Bangladesh is on the strong development trajectory with achieving progress in various development arenas, including socioeconomic index, reports BSS.
“I wish the people of Bangladesh all the best in their development trajectory. Hope to continue to represent Bangladesh the best of my ability,” she told journalists after meeting Finance Minister AMA Muhith at the Secretariat.
About World Bank President Jim Yong Kim’s visit to Bangladesh, she said the WB President has already assured Bangladesh of continuing its supports for development.
“Bangladesh is the largest fund recipient among the International Development Association (IDA) member countries. The uses of the fund in Bangladesh are very good,” she added.
