Argentina fan dies of heart attack

RAJSHAHI: An Argentine football fan died of cardiac arrest while celebrating his team’s victory after the Nigeria-Argentina match of 2018 Russia World Cup at Beldarparain the city early Wednesday, reports UNB.

The deceased was identified as Selim Hossain, 45, of Mahaldarpara in the city.

Locals arranged a place to see the football match on a big screen at Beldarparaon Tuesday night, said Aman Ullah, officer-in-charge of Boalia Police Station.

Selim, a fan of Argentina football team was also there to watch the math on the big screen.

When Argentina scored the second goal as the sign of their victory, Selim burst into joy and at one stage, he fell down.

Later, he was rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
