Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre (IGCC) is organizing ‘A soiree of Hindustani classical music’ by Indian artistes Sanjoy Kumar Banerjee and Keya Banerjee from West Bengal today 6pm at the Kobi Sufia Kamal Auditorium of Bangladesh National Museum in the capital.
The artistes duo are emerging exponents of Hindustani classical music in India. After their education from the prestigious Visva Bharati University, they gave numerous performances, particularly in ‘Dhrupad’, all across India. In Bangladesh, they will be perfuming in collaboration with Centre for Education, Creative and Performing Arts led by the famous artist of Bangladesh, Azad Rahman.
The duo will be giving a performance of Kheyal and Dhrupad for the local audience in both Bengali and Hindustani classical styles.
The show is open to all.
