India has handed over two murder suspects of Juba League activist RN Anik, who fled to Kolkata after the murder, to the Bangladesh authorities, reports UNB. The suspects were identified as Mohiuddin Tushar and M Alkasur Rahman alias Akhlasur Rahman. Special Task Force (STF) of Kolkata police arrested the duo from the Free School Street area on Friday and handed them over to Bangladesh Police on Sunday through Benapole check-post, said Deputy Commissioner (South) of Chittagong Metropolitan Police SM Mostain Hossain.
Earlier on June 18, a group of 30-35 men, led allegedly by Tushar and Akhlasur Rahman, stabbed Anik to death in front of his father at Paltan Road of Dampara in the city over a trivial matter. After the murder, they crossed the border into India.
