Prangonemor to stage new play Hasonjaner Raja today

Prangonemor, one of the leading theatre troupes in the country, is going to stage its brand new play titled Hasonjaner Raja today at 7pm at the Nilima Ibrahim Auditorium of Bangladesh Mahila Samiti in the capitals Baily Road area.
Based on the life of famous Bengali poet, mystic philosopher and songwriter from Sylhet Hason Raja, the play has been directed by Ananta Hira. Written by eminent writer Shakoor Majid, Hasonjaner Raja, the play is the 13th production of the troupe.
The different roles of the play will be played by Ramiz Razu, Awal Reza, Mainul Tawhid, Sagor Roy, Shuvechchha Rahman, Jewel Rana, Asha, Prokriti, Preeti, Sujay, Niru, Sumon, Badhon and Ruma.
Fayez Jahir has designed the stage for the play, while popular singer Selim Chowdhury is the music advisor and music of the play is planned by Thandu Raihan.
However, earlier on April 16 and also yesterday, the technical staging of the play held at the BSA.
To note, born on 21 December in 1854 at Rampasha of Bishwanath in Sylhet, the father of Hason Raja was Dewan Ali Raja, a direct descendant of Birendraram Singhdev (Raja Babu Khan). Hason Raja spent most of his childhood in Rampasha with his mother, Hurmuth Bibi. Later on, his unique style of music made him one of the most prominent figures in Bengali culture.
The play was premiered on April 20 at the National Theatre Hall of BSA this year.
