Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) officials arrested a Malaysian national along with 10 gold bars worth Tk 2.74 crore from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here early Sunday, reports UNB. The arrestee was identified as Looi Koon Hong, 33. Director General of CIID Dr Mohammad Shahidul Islam said a flight of Malindo Air landed at the airport around 1 am. Tipped off, a team of CIID took position at the green channel of the airport and challenged Koon Hong. They recovered four gold bars, weighing 1 kg each and 6 gold bars, weighing 1.48 kg from the shoes of Hong.
