UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is likely to visit Rohingya camps in Cox's Bazar on July 2 to see the situation on the ground and UN agencies engagement in the camps, reports UNB. Guterres is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on July 1. United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Filippo Grandi is also likely to be here on June 28 or 29 to visit the Rohingya camps, an official told.
World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim will also arrive here on a two-day visit on July 1, mainly to see the Rohingya situation in Cox's Bazar.
They will also hold meetings with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Finance Minister AMA Muhith and Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali, among others.
Sources at the Foreign Ministry here, however, said these visits are in discussions but they could not give any specific date yet.
